Cardigan's first St David's Day Parade Celebrate the National Patron Saint of Wales. Everyone is welcome to join the Cardigan Parade celebrating St David's Day and the launch of the first Parêd Gŵyl Dewi organised by Cered. Small World Theatre's fierce, giant Welsh Dragon will roar at the head of the procession leaving Cardigan Guildhall at 1pm and following the High Street to a public ceremony and more entertainment in the grounds of Cardigan Castle. Onlookers and those who want to take part in the Parade should meet at The Guildhall at 12.30pm.

Performances by: Mari Mathias Candy Mountain Chris Summerill The Adventures of Bert & Henry Bear Island Johnny Cage & The Voodoogroove Paradox Ticket holders will have full access to all the New Quay Super 6's Invitational Charity Cup action and Family Fun Zone (from 9am) as well as the Main Fundraising Festival Tent (from 1pm) which will play host to an incredible line up of Live Music throughout the day as well as the dedicated Event Bar and Food Stalls. The evening festivities continue into the night with the Charity Auction at 7pm, followed by 4 incredible headliners. Celebrating the bi-centenary of the first emigration from the Teifi valley to Canada in 1819. Cardigan Town will be going maritime over Easter. Starting with an opening ceremony on Prince Charles Quay on 13th April, events will run over ten days and include exhibitions, talks, town tours, singing, demonstrations of coracle fishing and more.

We have decided to have our own charity gig night, sponsored by Jo Jo's Guitars at St Dogmaels Memorial Hall. Poster below. Lots of fantastic bands on the night and a great comedian to compare the event. There will be a free raffle, including a free guitar from Jo Jo's guitars for one lucky person, guitar lesson, CD's, a free breakfast from the Cellar Bar in Cardigan and more. Hot food on the night (£5 per plate), meat or vegetable chilli and a very reasonable bar for all your drinks. Barley Saturday has since the 19th Century, been held on the last Saturday in April - it is an unique event in Cardigan. Barley Saturday saw farmers from surrounding area come to town to hire workers and to inspect stallions that are put out to stud. These days the horses are the centre of attention. After the 11.30am, judging of various horse competitions, the crowds gather to watch the horses do their parade around the Cardigan at approximately 2pm. The horses are followed by of vintage cars, motorbikes, tractors, carriages, milk floats and gypsy wagons.
