Cotton Fingers - A love letter to the NHS

A National Theatre of Wales Performance for two nights on 4th and 5th July.

The first of five new, solo shows by five writers, performed the length and breadth of Wales. These monologues will be intimate, heartfelt love letters to the NHS, an institution with which all of us have had – or will have – a relationship, at some stage of our lives.

Aoife – played by Louisa Harland who you may well recognise as Olra McCool in ‘Derry Girls’, is a young woman growing up on a West Belfast estate, figuring out what she wants from the world, but first, she has a big decision to make. About her body and about her future and whether she makes a trip to Wales…

Smart and funny, Aoife knows there’s more out there for her. She just doesn’t know what it is yet.

Cotton Fingers is a coming of age story about cycles of secrecy and the power young women hold over their futures.
