Held Annually – usually on the second Monday in August – the sheepdog trials are popular with visitors & locals. Competitors (handlers, both male & female ) travel from afar to compete with their sheepdogs, eg. from Abergavenny, Port Talbot, Swansea ,the Gower, Brecon, Aberystwyth. Many continentals compete – they arrive & stay locally, competing in many trials in West Wales .
Our trials start @ 7-30 a.m. and run till around 8p.m.- over a set course, all having fresh sheep.
Home-made catering on field. We regularly have the top handlers from the U.K. competing.
