The lounge has doors to the Juliette balcony to take full advantage of the rural views. A lovely room to enjoy the birdsong and clean fresh country air – a delicious feature of west Wales. There are two comfortable sofas provided where you can look forward to curling up on a colder evening in front of the electric wood burner-effect fire whilst watching your favourite movies or boxsets on the Smart TV or snuggling down with a good book. Cwtch pronounced ‘kutch’ is a lovely Welsh word meaning something like a mix of a cuddle and enjoyment of a place of safety and security. It is similar to the Danish word hygge.

The Cwtch Features

The Cwtch has a topsy turvy layout. The kitchen with it’s dining area and large king sized bedroom and bathrroom are on the ground floor with access to the decking. The comfortably furnished lounge with a separate dining area are on the floor above in order to take full advantage of the view.

The rules of FootGolf are simple, and similar to golf.
The aim is to kick a football from the tee into a cup in as few shots as possible, trying to stay on the fairways and avoid the rough. The Trenewydd Farm course layout is below, and we have official regulation age-specific sized footballs. The cups are also regulation size, at 21 inches.

The nine-hole, 747 metre FootGolf course is free to guests who are staying with us at Trenewydd Farm Cottages. Anyone not staying can pay-and-play for £7 a person and can go around twice. Parking is available on site, with EV charging station also available, just come to Reception to pay and collect your score cards and balls.

Price: Play two rounds of FootGolf for £7 per person. Either contact us to book your time slot, or just turn up.

Common Name: Lady’s Smock, Cuckoo Flower,
Latin Name: Cardamine pratensiss

Description: Herbaceous perennial plant growing up to 60 cm tall, with pinnate leaves 5–12 cm long, each leaflet is about 1 cm long. The delicate flowers are grouped into clusters on each stem and each individual flower has four petals and is 1–2 cm in diameter.

Season: Spring – April to June

Colour: Very pale lilac

More Information: The name cuckoo flower comes from the timing of the flowering, at the same time as hearing the first cuckoo.

Location: Along the banks of streams and rivers and in meadows and damp banks and hedges.
