Cwtch pronounced ‘kutch’ is a lovely Welsh word meaning something like a mix of a cuddle and enjoyment of a place of safety and security. It is similar to the Danish word hygge.

Award Winning Holiday Park

For many years we have wanted to have a caravan park with a difference, not uniform rows of caravans with concrete roads and street lighting.

The David Bellamy Award has given us this chance. Maes Glas has therefore been developed to be in harmony with the valley in which it nestles

Amenities on the park include a shop selling a wide range of goods, take-away selling a variety of hot foods, launderette, children’s play area, the Gamezone with pool table and video games to keep young and old amused and plenty of open space for you to enjoy.

Luxury Holiday Caravan Cardigan Bay National Trust Beach

MaesGlas Caravan Park have modern luxury caravans for hire.

The 6 berth accommodation provides lounge/dining area, kitchen, main double bedroom and two separate twin bedded rooms. All beds are suitable for adults or children. Colour tv is provided free of charge. Each caravan has toilet, shower, water heater, refrigerator, colour television, electricity and gas for cooking and heating.

Caravan Features

All the bedrooms and bathroom have low wattage electric panel heaters. Prices are inclusive of gas and electricity; there are no ‘extra charges’

Small dogs are permitted if kept strictly on a lead and under proper control at all times. Your car maybe parked adjacent to the caravan. Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday, but weekend bookings may be available during early and late season.

The caravan is available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the date of departure. We ask your help in leaving the caravan clean and tidy

Fully Equipped Caravans

Our caravans are fully equipped to Wales Tourist Board standards, the beds are provided with duvet covers, duvets, pillows & pillow cases and bottom sheets. You will need to bring own towels and tea towels.

A rubber sheet must be used for the beds of small children. A non-returnable deposit of 20% is payable on booking, the balance being payable on arrival. An extra charge of £10 per week will be made for bookings which include a dog.

Touring and Camping Pitches

We have pitches for six tourers / motorhomes and four tent pitches. We are 1/2 mile away from the golden, safe beach at Penbryn. Amenities on the park include a shop selling a wide range of provisions, take-away selling hot & cold foods, launderette, children’s play area.

As we are a family park we do not accept bookings from all male or all female parties.

We are sorry but we cannot accept bookings from parties which include “large guard dog type” dogs.

Our spacious, well laid out touring park is the perfect location for exploring this enchanting part of West Wales. Peaceful, with glorious sea views, it is ideal for anyone who wants ‘an away from it all’ break. Pitches are available for Caravans, Motor Caravans and Tents.

Occasionally permanent static sites overlooking Cardigan Bay do come available. Please contact us for further details.

On Site Facilities

There is modern toilet and shower block, exclusively for the use of the touring pitches, and a new fully equipped disabled shower room. Incorporated within the building are new laundry facilities and a covered dishwashing area. Showers and hot water are free. Electric hook-ups are available, but it is suggested that you pre-book.

Children and Pets

Children love Blaenwaun. There is a large safe play area in the centre of the park, making it easy for you to watch over your children. There is plenty of room for ball games, kite flying or just riding a bike. Alternatively, they can feed the ducks; say ‘hello’ to our donkey, or fish. Pets are welcomed, but must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised off the field.

The Accommodation

Two bedrooms: one small single downstairs and a large double upstairs. This enables two friends to stay (that don’t want to share a bed) or if one person isn’t able to use the stairs.

Well equipped kitchens: fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, built in oven etc.

Sitting room: woodburner, flat screen tv and dvd with freeview, a selection of books, games, local guides and maps. Downstairs shower, toilet and washbasin tastefully tiled throughout.

All Year Round Comfort

Both cottages have: luxury of oil fired underfloor heating and also an electric towel rail in the shower rooms. They are tastefully tiled throughout in slate with colourful rugs adding a homely feel. The bedrooms have wooden floors. Both upstairs bedrooms have dormer windows giving a spectacular sea view northwards looking up as far as north wales. Both cottages also have a private patio area outside with tables, chairs and b.b.q.

Awel y mor: (sea breeze) has the added luxury of a glassed area as part of the sitting room enabling one to sit and enjoy the countryside views from inside. Upstairs this cottage also has a balcony which opens into the bedroom allowing one to sit outside with great seaviews, perfect to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine.

We provide free of charge:

a welcome hamper of tea, coffee, milk etc.
safe padlock points for your bicycles or canoes.
logs and sticks for the woodburners
charcoal for the bbq.s
freshly laundered bedlinen

Holiday Cottage Features

The cottages are set back off the road on a small country lane. they have been converted from farm buildings and we have tried to keep as many original features as possible whilst trying to make them as luxurious as we can. We are a working organic farm with horses, cattle and sheep.
We live on site so are here to give advice or help at all times. We can also provide stabling if you would like to bring your horse on holiday with you. we have our own x-country course which you can hire.

Awel y Mor Hot Tub

These cottages have been built/designed with the discerning customer in mind so are only intended for two people and are not for children.

Enjoy the luxury of a hot-tub under the stars when staying at Awel-y-Mor.

Well behaved dogs are welcome at £10 per week extra. Sorry no smokers.

Where we are

We are approx 1 mile (by road) less on bridle path from.
National Trust owned Mwnt beach. This a renowned local beauty spot well known for it’s regular sightings of dolphins, seals, choughs and peregrine falcons. This is part of the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast. We are only a short walk away from the new Ceredigion Coastal path. This has given the visitor a wonderful chance to walk areas of the cliffs never seen before.
Less than 1/2 mile from a farm shop which is well stocked throughout the summer season.
4 miles from Cardigan, a busy little market town with all your usual supermarkets but also some interesting gift shops.
3 miles from Aberporth
2 miles from A 487 inc a well stocked shop and garage (cheapest garage for miles!)
